Cameras & Doorbells on the Costa del Sol
Help with security cameras, video doorbells, WiFi connections, apps and recording in Marbella and the Costa del Sol. Equipment supply and setup advice.
A camera that drops offline or a doorbell that never alerts your phone is not much help. Bas Vas Más helps homeowners and small businesses in Marbella and the Costa del Sol choose suitable equipment, understand the setup and get existing cameras working reliably.
Existing camera problems
Start with the fault before replacing the equipment.
- Cameras and doorbells that lose their WiFi connection.
- Phone apps, account access and shared household access.
- Motion zones, useful alerts and notification settings.
- Recording, playback and storage settings on supported equipment.
Choosing a new setup
Choose for the property and the way you want to use it.
- Video doorbells, suitable outdoor cameras and accessories.
- WiFi coverage, power, placement and weather exposure.
- Local recording versus a cloud plan, including recurring costs.
- Equipment supply and a clear installation scope before ordering.
Set up for everyday use
The handover matters as much as the hardware.
- Test live viewing, notifications and playback together.
- Update supported devices and enable stronger account protection.
- Keep the owner in control of accounts and access.
- Explain the settings and the basic steps if a device goes offline.
Homes and holiday properties
Keep the view useful and respect private spaces.
- Position cameras to minimise recording of neighbours and public space.
- Review user access when tenants, guests or property managers change.
- Check the rental platform’s camera rules before choosing locations.
- Plan any required signs and privacy information before recording.
Supply, setup and installation
Suitable cameras, doorbells and accessories can be included in the quote, or I can help with equipment you already own. Mounting, cabling, electrical work and installer requirements are checked before an installation is confirmed. Work requiring a registered installer must be carried out by an appropriately registered business.
For a monitored alarm or a connection to an alarm receiving centre, use an authorised security company. Bas Vas Más does not offer alarm monitoring or an emergency response service.
Often the camera problem is a WiFi problem
If several devices keep disconnecting, or the entrance is a long way from the router, start with a home WiFi check. A stronger connection may be more useful than a more expensive camera. Cameras can also be considered alongside smart home setup.
Before you book
Can you help with cameras I already own?
Yes, where the equipment and software are supported and you have legitimate access to the system. Send the brand, model and a description of the problem. Keep passwords and verification codes private.
Do I need a monthly subscription?
That depends on the equipment and the features you want. Some products offer local recording; others require a paid plan for recorded video or certain alerts. Any recurring cost should be clear before buying.
Can cameras be used in a holiday rental?
Check the rules of the platform and the property before installing. Airbnb prohibits indoor security cameras, including switched-off cameras, and requires disclosure of permitted outdoor cameras. Placement, privacy and access need to be considered together.
Which areas do you cover?
Marbella, Nueva Andalucía, Puerto Banús, San Pedro, Benahavís and Estepona are the regular service area. Other locations are by arrangement. See the complete work area overview.
One small problem or a whole list?
WiFi, TV, cameras, computers and everyday devices. You can bring several practical tech questions to the same visit.
